about

Atlantic Tired South as it stands today is undoubtedly Projektor's finest work, taking that aforementioned base of swirlingly atmospheric post-rock and injecting noticeably more variety and energy—a heavier punch and increasedly active songwriting style that immediately hit the spot for me. - Aversionline

Projektor was formed in 1999 by bassist/vocalist Jahmeel Russell (ACTORS/Red Vienna). Originally released on CD-R and handed out to friends and fans in 2007, 2020 sees the official release of Projektor's post break up EP, Atlantic Tired South. After the release of two albums on the Endearing Records label the band began writing songs for their third album. Though they ultimately split up before completing it, they did have a chance to record the four songs they had finished. Additionally, included for the first time ever are two covers recorded by the band during these sessions.
